Tower 1

This 2012 Smeal was custom-built by Smeal Manufacturing and features a Spartan Gladiator chassis and cab. It features a Cummins ISX 500HP engine with an Allison 400 EVS transmission. It has a 2000 gpm pump, a 300 gallon tank, a large selection of ground ladders, and a 100ft Mid Mount Platform Aerial with an Akron Deck Gun. 

Engine 1

This 2023 Peirce Enforcer was custom-built by Pierce Manufacturing and features an L9 Cummins 450HP engine with an Allison 3000 EVS transmission. It has a 2000 GPM pump with inlets on all four sides, a 1000-gallon tank, a Husky 3 foam system with a 20-gallon foam cell, and has a 6 KW hydraulic generator. Engine 1 is first out with 4 firefighters for all structural calls.

Engine 2

This 2017 Ferrara was custom-built by Smeal Manufacturing and features a 2000 GPM pump, 750-gallon tank and is foam capable. It carries equipment for firefighting but is the first apparatus out the door to extractions and other types of rescues.

Command 

This 2017 Ford F-150 was customized by the department to carry out the duties of the Fire Chief. It features a liftable bed topper with a slide-out tray mounted in the bed of the truck for ease of access to the Chief's communication devices and equipment.

Utility 1

This 2006 Ford F-350 was built as a Utility vehicle for the department. Its main duties include a command vehicle for the department's officer staff and transportation to calls and training for the department members.

Utility 2- Flood Control

This 2022 Ford F-150 was customized by the department to carry out duties of the Flood Control Officer. It carries the necessary tools and equipment to perform the day-to-day maintenance of the city's levee system and early warning flood system.

Quick Attack 1

This 2001 Ford F-350 was customized by the department as a versatile fire-fighting apparatus. It is equipped with a skid unit that features a 300 GPM pump backed by a 300-gallon tank and is foam-capable.

Quick Attack 2

This 2019 Ford F-350 was customized by the department as a versatile firefighting apparatus. It is equipped with a skid unit that features a 300 GPM pump backed by a 300-gallon tank and is foam-capable.

Tanker 1

This is a 1999 International Tanker/Pumper built by Toyne Fire Apparatus. It is a new breed of dual-purpose fire apparatus designed by the department, to serve two functions for the fire district. As a pumper for city use and tanker for rural use. It has 1500 gallons of water, a 1000 gpm pump, a 2100 gallon portable dump tank, all-wheel drive, and ground ladders.

Rescue 1

This 2019 Ford F550 was custom-built for the department by Maintainer Corporation of Iowa. It has the capacity to carry up to 5 crew members and it houses the department's heavy and tactical rescue equipment.

1929 American LaFrance

Denison's firefighters are very proud of their history.  This truck has been proudly serving in Denison's fleet since 1929.  This truck has been completely rebuilt and is a beautiful piece of equipment.
